Saturn Complaint - Typical - New Car Purchase
I was under the false impression that my experience with the Saturn organization would be different than past experiences with other new car dealers; however, I was wrong. I received the mis-information, out right lied to, deceived with the price and paperwork, no returned phone calls when promised,..... on and on and on.
Same old thing..... new wrapper.
Yes, Saturn has the "no haggle" policy but I guess someone forgot to inform some of their sales people. Correct, they do not "haggle" the price downward, but they SURE DO add on the old tricks of the trade. I'm thought I was in a Seinfeld episode where they were going to try to sell me " undercoating"! They actually will sell you a paint and upholstery protection plan for an additional $1500+ ! Oh yea, and you have to wax the car with their special wax twice a year. Isn't THAT the PROTECTION???? Why does one need this policy????? Of course that's not how they present it to you.... they just conveniently "include it"! Then there's the other dealer ad-ons.... like $200 for tinting on a car with only 3 small windows. They already charge for the registration but they must add $600 MORE for record storage for 7 years. Try to get into that file 5 years down the road...lol.
Sure they are entitled to make a profit the same as anyone else in business..... but SATURN promotes this "no haggle" customer treatment as if they are different. The sales force are the same people who have worked at the "other dealerships" in the past. All in all....GM blows another sale and offends another potentially new customer. Is it any wonder why Toyota has passed the world's previously largest corporation to be in first place????
