Marriott Residence Inn Managed by Innkeepers Hospitality Complaint - Negligence - personal injury
USA -- I was injured by a defective Murphy bed at a Marriott Residence Inn located in Vancouver, WA on May 27th, 2004. The bed flipped up unintentionally with such force that it pinned my leg against the wall resulting in medics being called to the room. I was forced to use crutches for two weeks, and unable to work due to severe bruises on my face, arm and leg. We are grateful that one of our children were not caught in the bed as it could have caused life threatening injury. To date, the owner at the time or management company, Innkeepers Hospitality of Palm Beach, Florida and Marriott Corporation have ignored our requests to be reimbursed for medical bills and missed work. We asked for no punitive damages. They did not even offer to comp our room. The rude phone calls and letters I have received from them, show just how arrogant and uncaring they are as a company and how sloppy the Marriott Corporation is in choosing it's franchisees. EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE STAYING AT A MARRIOTT AND IF INJURED, DON'T EXPECT THEM TO HELP.
