Keffer Hyundai Informative - Deceptive Service practices

Review by ckrick on 2007-05-01
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- The Service dept uses deceptive language to up sell customers into using additives such as Oil and Fuel Additives. They imply strongly that the products are required to maintain your Waranty. They also say the products are "required" by hyundai. The truth is that Hyundai accepts those products and will backup the dealers recomendations. But does NOT require the use of the products, and the Waranty is not affected as long as you follow the service schedule. The additative are a rip off. an extra $20 you dont need and Hyundai does NOT require

Is this a complaint because you bought them, or simply a warning to other consumers?

Its both a complaint and informative. The key is, the Service manager will look you in the eye and tell you the additives are REQUIRED by Hyundai. This simply is not true!
