Complaint - 20% restocking fee on duplicate order

Review by Lhruska on 2007-05-01
Resolution Update on 10/15/2007:
After showing them positive proof that they duplicated the orders after I emailed them to tell them to please watch out for a duplicate order, they refunded my 20% restocking charge. If I did not have the proof of the emails and if I did not bug them hourly for two days, I am not sure they would of given me my money back.
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA -- This website has this lovely little auto-reply feature. When I told them that there are TWO orders in their system for the same product they ignored my warning and sent two heaters. I paid shipping to get the duplicate and shipping to return it and THEN they charged 20% restocking.

They are such jerks. Claiming this is all of my fault. They steer you towards using Google to pay and then do not bother to check the order against the emails sent to customer service. Never again. Don't use them as their shipping rates are out of this world and even though they say they are in California everything I got from them came from the east coast.

It sounds like you placed 2 orders.

Why in the world would any ecommerce company filter all of their orders against email before shipping out their orders. I am sure they check their email, but orders usually get processed much faster than email does.

Also, just because their corporate office is in California, doesn't mean that everything will ship from California.
