Mr Coffee Complaint - Coffee Maker Stops Working After 3 Month

Review by bobcarroll on 2007-05-02
COLUMBUS, INDIANA -- In November i bought a Mr Coffee 4 cup coffee maker and January it stopped working. So i took it back and exchanged it for a new one.

May 1st this one went out.

So this morning I went out to my garage and got my old trusty black and decker four cup. It worked fine.

Thanks for the junk.

What a horrible experience. I suggest changing brands. I had a Mr. Coffee a few years ago: nothing but problems. Just because "coffee" is in the name doesn't mean that the company knows anything about it.

Try a Cuisinart, little pricy but it makes a great cup of coffee and never breaks.

Although I have had a Mr. Coffee for over two years now and it still goes great.

Too many home appliances have turned into throwaways. Looks like ya get what ya pay for.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Pirate and superbowl on this one.

Stew, I sure hope my Cuisinart is not French?

Let me guess: another fine product manufactured in China.

My first coffee maker, beside a percolater was a Mr. Coffee machine. So was my second one, about 3 months later, as was my third one, about 4 months later. I felt I was beginning to see a pattern emerge. My next coffee maker was a Black and Decker, which I had for 3 years, so I have had Black and Decker machines ever since. The biggest improvement I have seen is the thermal carafe, as the older coffee makers had as a common fault, the hot plate. They always failed, because they were operated so much. I got around that by brewing my coffee, then shutting off the hot plate. When I wanted a cup, I poured it and stuck in the nuker fo 90 seconds. Voila! Hot coffee.
