EverydayFurnishings.com Complaint - Horrible Service - Furniture
I ordered a coffee/end table set a couple months ago, which I did get but there were a couple damaged pieces. I called right away, gave the part numbers to someone who contacted the manufacturer to get them replaced. She did not listen to what I was telling her and did not get the information correct, which slowed down the process and after a few emails and phone calls, that issue was finally corrected. Had she listened to the information I gave her the first time, the manufacturer would have had the necessary information right away.
A couple months later in March 2007 I ordered a bedroom set totalling over $1,000. The site did not have a way for me to order the color I wanted as it was only showing available in parenthesis in the description. I called to order it and didn't hear anything about the delivery for over a week. When I called, I was told to give it a few more days and call back if I still haven't heard anything. When I called back, I was told that the manufactuer does not make what I ordered in the color I requested. I was very frustrated that this order sat for over two weeks without being filled or anyone checking on its status.
I requested that my money be refunded and was told I should see it within 3-5 business days. This was done on a debit card so I was currently out this money in cash. After a week, I called and spoke to Stan who told me that the refund was never issued, he was going to do it immediately and I would see it in 3-5 business days. I was very skeptical and asked why it wasn't done before, told him this was unacceptable and I needed my money back right away. Of course, I was still told it would be 3-5 business days.
After another week of not receiving my refund, I called back and was transferred to Stan's voicemail because apparently, he will no longer speak to me. I left a message and have not heard back and that was a week ago. I called again yesterday and the person I talked to said they would leave him a message to call me back and transfer me to his voicemail. I left another message but knew he wouldn't call me back.
I called again today and spoke to a Mike telling him I wanted to speak to Stan's boss. I was told that he is the president of the company and there is no one above him. I told Mike that I did not want to leave a voicemail and that I wanted to speak to Stan. He put me on hold and came back saying that Stan is on the phone but told him the refund was issued. I told him it has not been issued and that I need to talk to Stan. He transferred me to someone else's voicemail. I left a message stating I want someone to call me back today or I will call my attorney. I called back and spoke to Mike asking whose voicemail that was that he transferred me to and he said that was where Stan was working. I told him that I am going to call my attorney and want to know why my money is not being refunded. He said that Stan showed him the confirmation that my refund was submitted on 5/01. That was yesterday, over a month after I was told it was refunded the first time!
Mike could not give me a reason as to why I keep getting told that it has been refunded and obviously it hasn't been. I will not do business with these people again and am taking this to the BBB and to my bank to get my money back.
