Home Depot Informative - Indirect Water heater installation
SOMERSWORTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I had ordered an Indirect water heater from the somersworth , NH Home depot to replace my exsisting indirect water heater. Home depot had sent one of their local plumbing affliates to do the installation. The amitrol tank was around 800 dollars, the price I was given by Home Depot to purchase and install the tank was 3300 dollars. There is no way that it takes 2500 dollars of labor and material to replace an indirect water heater. I cancelled the job from Home Depot. I purchased the tank from a local plumbing supply house, called a local plumber to do the installation for a grand total of 950 dollars. The cost to have the tank installed was 240 dollars with materials. I can see if there is a few hundred dollar price difference between installers but not a few thousand. I talked to a manager about this they never returned my call or even cared to discuss this with me. Becareful when you use them , price and quality do not go hand and hand with Home depot.
