COLUMBIA, MISSISSIPPI -- I got a recall on my truck with only 1400 miles on it. The turbo was already making noise. The recall was about reporgraming the computer system. Before I took it to the dealership that I purchased it from. The truck would get 21 mpg @ 60 mph & all instrument read out was working correctly. After the dealership had reprogramed the computer system. Turbo noise was more obvious, at 60 mph only 11 mpg. With a little less than 1/2 tank of fuel, the computer readout showed (0) miles to empty. The truck hah less power.

I contacted the guy which I had purchased this 2008, F-250, crew cab, 4x4, 6.4 POWER STROKE. They kept it a week, even the mechanic took it home for test drive. Still, they can't find the problem. I purchased this truck for pulling my fifth wheel with, but now I don't trust it.

Sounds like Ford is repeating the mistakes they made with the 6.0L PowerStroke all over again.

well im having the same problem. a new 2008 ford f250 with only 500 miles and every light that could possibly turn on has engaged. when i took it to the dealer they reset the computer and sent me on my way. but a few hundred miles later the check motor, seatbelt, running hot, tcs lights all came back on. i took it back to ford and its been there for over a week and they told me they cant find the problem. so its still there. has anyone else had or heard of this problem?
