Burger King Complaint - 42-minute Big Fish - Service
OVIEDO, FLORIDA -- 5/3/07 Oviedo, FL, Burger King on 434-Alafaya Woods. "Bad Management." I walked in and ordered a Big Fish sandwich. My receipt had 7:30(pm) time-stamped.The guy behind the counter was doing a good job. I stood waiting 10 minutes before finding a seat, noticing others also were not eating yet. I kept looking at my cell phone to watch the minutes, noticing the manager was out front teaching a boy how to put liners in the trash bins. After waiting 15 min. I walked to the counter and (calmly) asked for the manager. I asked the manager what time did he have, he said 7:46. I showed him my ticket stamped 7:30. He said, that's the fish sandwich ... we're working on that. I said that is too long to make a sandwich, he said we'll bring it right out; I returned to my seat. I continued to wait, as others were getting their food but after waiting with arms crossed and crooked eyebrows; I'm sure we all had the same feeling that you get when bad service makes you "feel bad." When my cell phone displayed 8:12 I went to the counter again and asked for same manager. He said you're still waiting? I again showed my ticket and said it's 42 minutes. He said, that sandwich came up already. I said no one brought it out, I've been right here, nobody said anything, no one called my ticket number, nobody yelled "Fish", and I'd like my money back. He handed the ticket to a guy and said can you do this quick? I said, no, I want my money back. The manager "wearing food-gloves" went to the register and took a full minute to do a procedure and gave my money back. I told him that his guy at the front counter did a good job, but the time was unacceptable. He said all I can say is I'm so sorry. After leaving I wonder why management didn't have the most important aspect of this "restaurant" in good operation. It was an unreasonable time, unacceptable management and an awful experience.
