Waterbed.com, Classicmattress.com aka Dormia.com Complaint - Bad business practice and poor order processing
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I went to google to look for a waterbed on 04/30/2007. The first one that came out was waterbed.com aka CSN store. I went into the site and found what I want. I went ahead and purchased the product. After getting the credit card and successfully charging my account, a really obnoxious advertisement pop out and could not be closed. It was soliciting me to join a club or a group for points reward. I sent them a copy of the annoying advertisement that cannot be closed which is blocking my order online.
I have done numerous transaction online and I always get a confirmation right away including tracking number,etc. Same day that I ordered.
This time, with waterbed.com I have waited for 3 days to get a tracking number. How I got the response? I have to call and do a follow up for 3 days with the company to find out if they got my order online. I finally got fed up and told them , " look, is it okay for me to call classicmattress.com and find out if they have processed the order since this product will be dropped shipped from manufacturer? The reps said, "no problem to call classicmattress.com
So I called and was told there was no pending order from waterbed.com. So I called waterbed.com and spoke to about 8 different customer service who said it was processed and will be shipped on 05/03/2007 and they confirmed that the order actually left in the afternoon on 05/03/2007 . But they do not have a tracking number yet, and sure please call classicmattress. com. So I did, but they will not release the information as I did not order from them directly. So I called waterbed.com again and they called classicmatteress.com and later gave me the tracking number and told me again that it was shipped on 05/03/2007 pm. I went to Fedex to check the package. None, I called Fedex customer service and the lady said, nothing has been shipped, the item has not been received by Fedex.
So back to the drawing board, called waterbed.com, called classicmattress.com to try to verify what is going on with my order. Finally, somebody from waterbed.com told me that the item is still at the warehouse (I presumed classicmattress.com) and has not been shipped out! So what's with the "lies" and false statement ?
I am really furious as I cannot even rely on any of these companies. I have dealt with Apple.com and other distributors, resellers online and I have no problem whatsoever. I told the rep of waterbed.com that if classicmattress.com is giving them false information and saying it has left the warehouse, I will not do business with the latter. But if waterbed.com is "lying" to me and giving me false information, then I will no longer do business with them.
So everything is still pending and waterbed.com reps said, they will call me back, but they never did.
My credit card has been charged since 04/30/2007 and here I am still waiting and finding out if I have the item available for delivery!
