DHL Complaint - DHL THE Package Nazi's
WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- We all know that DHL is owned by the German Postal Service, which you would never believe this according to the late or just plained screw ups. If it were really oversighted by their Fatherland, they would be run with the efficiency of a Mercedes, BMW or Volkswagon facility. I have have, in the past, packages containing important documents that required a signature delivered without signature, I was just out walking around my yard, which at that time I had a home in a beach community so it could have been me or anybody walking around, I intercepted the guy who looked to be no older than 16-18. He handed my package to me, thank God it really was me and I asked him did he not need a signature, he said no got in his truck and left.
When I told the Company in Dallas TX what had happened they were just as shock and mad as hell as I was.
Then there was another time I walked into my house, in another city, had not been there more than 15 mins. walked outside to find a attempted delivery notice stuck to my door. I called DHL knowing that he could not be too far off, this happened almost 20 years ago when GPS was no in play and cell phones were very expensive and very few people had them, but they got hold of the driver, most likely by pager or radio and he was at my front door 5 mins. later swearing that he rang the door bell. Let me tell you if he rang my doorbell it was either broken, which it wasn't, or I was temporarily deaf, which I have never had a hearing problem.
Given this and many other stories I could write about I was expecting a package by noon they told me when I called that they had equiptment problem and my package would probably be about 2 hours late well I could live with that, I stayed home ALL day waiting in the package as I knew it required a signature for release, several phone calls and several promises that my package would be delivered YESTERDAY and I had paid $40.00 for next day express service the package never arrived. I called mad as hell and got the run around they put me on hold 3 or 4 times for several mins. each time snf said it MAY be her today Saturday. Well we'll see.
I think from what I have read here on my3cents all of us and others might have a class action suit against them for disrupting our lives, making false promises and false advertising just to name a few complaints.
