Alltel Wireless Complaint - Alltel Customer Service Sucks!
JACKSON, MICHIGAN -- My daughter and I have had a family account with Alltel for about 4 years now. Three years ago her phone was stolen and we didn't realize it. The person who stole her phone charged up over a $300 bill. Alltel held us totally responsible for this bill even though it was stolen. I had to sign a new contract with more minutes to get the charge reduced so I wouldn't have to pay so much. I should have switched my services then. But I signed another contact.
Recently we had gotten about 2 weeks behind on our bill but we paid it every month. They shut off our phone claiming we had an over 90 day balance of $7.06, which I know we did not. They wouldn't turn them back on until we paid a 2 month bill which included the bill that wasn't even due for 3 more weeks. I talked to several customer service people and no one could tell me why there was an over 90 day balance. That's because there wasn't one!!!! And my phone recently died and they told me I had to pay cash because of the recent problem with the account. I told them I didn't have the cash right now so they tried to sell me a phone that was cheaper and didn't get good connections.
Alltell customer service people are very rude and a bunch of idiots. Nobody can ever give you a straight answer. I tried to talk to several people and they had no idea what they were talking about.
ALLTEL CUSTOMER SUCKS. No wonder so many people are switching. I will NEVER deal with those people again. I now have a wonderful wireless service that actually knows how to deal with people.
