HSBC Complaint - Increasing my APR
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- I got a card through HSBC back in September through Best Buy. By getting the card I would get a $25 gift card to Best Buy after my fist payment. 6 months later and a few complaints I finally got the card.
Then I get a letter in the mail that they are raising my ARP 10+% "To continue to provide quality service to our cardmembers and to ensure profitability."
Of course I have an opt out for this but I would never be able to use the card again and it will close once it's paid off.
I called to talk to the people who makes these decision and Sandra #HSC3DB said that there was no one to talk to. No one to talk to to defen my credit score.
I've not excessivly used the card. I've always made my payments on time.
I am being held hostage by this company. Either I agree to pay their increase or I have to close the account and it dings my record.
Don't use HSBC. Most of their customer service people can't even speak plain English!
