Dish Network Complaint - Cancellation nightmare
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- In December of 06 I was having problems with my receiver and decided to cancel my service. After explaining to the rep for 30 mins. why i wanted to cancel, he finally told me that it would be $220.00 to do so. He told me i was under contract and i explained to him that i never signed a contract. He told me that i had and he was reading it right then. I told him to fax it to me and he said that he was not able to do that. He told me that he could research it and it would take about 2 weeks to do that. 2 weeks later i got a call and was told that i was not under a contract. So the woman canceled my service and told me that it would take about 10 days to receive the box to return my receiver in. 2 weeks later i had not received the boxes and called dish. they said that my service was not canceled and to do so it would cost $220.00. I explained my story and she finally cancelled.
