Citicards Complaint - Unprofessional Email Service
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- My credit card was nearing experation, I took advantage of the Online E-mail service to send a email inquiring about my cards experation. I asked if I needed to do anything or if they will just send me a new card automatically. The quickly responded back with; "We have closed your account due to your card being lost/stolen." I was furious, I never wanted to close my account. I called customer service and they were helpful, they overnighted me a new card and told me I'd get a $25 Credit toward my account for the inconvience. Four days later, I realize I still haven't gotten my credit, I tried the email service again to ask when I would get my credit. The email reponce was; "you will need to contact a merchant to get a refund." This was totally off subject. I called customer serivce, I got an Indian on the phone, hung up immediatly and called back and got an American. I told him was happened and he told me I would get my credit within 2 billing cycles! (2 MONTHS!) He then followed his script and tried to sell me a home loan. I think their customer service has really gone down hill. I will never use the customer service e-mail feature ever again.
