Coastal Contacts Complaint - Online Order System/Poor Customer Service
BLAINE, WASHINGTON -- I recently placed an online order for contact lens with Coastal Contacts. After receiving my order, I paid promptly with a credit card. A couple of weeks later, I got a past due letter in the mail. I called and they said it was paid. I got another letter a couple of weeks later saying past due and that they would turn it over to collections if not paid in X days. I called and they then said that I paid for my first order, but not my second order. I did not make a second order! Turns out, my order was duplicated. They said they would research and get back to me. Never heard from them until my 3rd past due letter and 5 days to pay or it goes to collections. Called and they said order was shipped and delivered. I found the 2nd order under the bench on my front porch. I paid for the second order which I don't need, but it was easier than trying to get them to not turn over to collections and mess up my credit score. Never got return calls or any resolution on why my order was duplicated. All I ever got was threating letters in the mail. I will not use this company again. Also, I never signed for the second order, still can not figure out how they can bill me for something they can not prove was delivered nor can I figure out how 2 exact orders were processed without them questioning it. But, they don't call you back so you are screwed.
