EyesFirst Vision Center Informative - Poor Service - EyeCare

Review by Rudeeyecare on 2007-05-16
MIDDLETOWN, NEW JERSEY -- EyesFirst in Middletown, NJ. I have been a customer with them for a number of years. In fact, Dr. Gershnow was excellent, friendly and help me in an emergency when I had a severe eye infection.

However, the rest of his staff from the person who answers the phone on the grey haired frame buyer have always been pompous, rude and arrogant. The prices have continually increased without explanation. My last two appointments I ended not seeing Doctor Gershnow (too good for actually seeing patients now) but rather some rather incompetant woman doctor who has no "bed side manner what so ever". Their glasses selection is pitiful and their prices for contacts is outragous.

Service is not heir number 1 priority, but they will find a way to nickle and dime and insult your intelligence until you walk out the door and never return.

Check your own attitude and see if that is a factor why you don't like anyone.

I couldn't agree with you more, In fact some of the things you said were exactly what I have been thinking and wanting to say. I thought about calling the Better Business Bur. to find out more information about them. They jack up the prices of frames, even for children's frames that should not cost more than my insurance allows. I've gone to another Eye Dr. and purchases all types of glasses since then and didn't have to pay any more for any glasses, except one special pair. They tried to tell my daughter that "she broke her glasses" and they refused to fix them, I don't even think they were a year old,, It was a minor repair and they refused to try and fix them,,(ie, gray haired man),, Anyway, we are happy now and will never go back.
