Sprint PCS Compliment - Overage Charges
Looking over my Sprint invoice yesterday, I've noticed last month I spent around $18 in overage pcs data. I noticed this month I spent $28 this month on the same thing. I also received a message on my phone stating picture mail was ending. I decided I would pay the $5 a month to keep the service since it was something I used. I was also charged $5 a month for video mail.
I simply sent an email to Sprint inquiring why I received so much data overages and wanted to cancel the video mail as well. I was informed the charges were because of this:
"- Browsing the Internet
- Using the multimedia player to listen to streaming music or watch TV
- Accessing content in the On Demand application
- Sharing/sending pictures
- Previewing or downloading songs from the Sprint Music Store
- Downloading content such as ringers, screensavers, and games
All of which cost 2 cents a kilobyte."
That's what I figured they'd sa, but that's kinda crappy. It's not like I was a heavy internet user or anything, but it seems like ANYTHING sent incurred an extra charge. If I sent a picture, I get charged for the data used even though I'm already paying for the service. But here's the kicker! They said due to my loyalty, they would credit me the $28! I was very pleased with this.
Needless to say, I don't want to be charged this much in the future and know it would happen again. I noticed for $15 I could add unlimited data access plus picture mail (and other useless options to me). Plus I receive a 22% discount through my employer on all reoccurring charges. So $11.70 a month isn't bad at all to me. I also cancelled the $5 picture mail fee because I don't need this anymore.
I see many negative reviews about Sprint. However, everytime I have had a problem, it has been address quickly and to my satisfaction. This time has been no different.
I also think my plan and pricing is very fair. For $50.70 a month I get a lot, and everything I need. Unlimited texts, (now) unlimited interenet and data usage, unlimited nights and weekends with weekends starting at 7pm!, and a lot more.
I will continue to use and recommend sprint.
