VISIONEER SCANNER CO. Complaint - COST OF GETTING REPLACEMENTS!!!!!
BOONEVILLE, MISSISSIPPI -- I bought a visioneer 7700usb scanner 08-21-01, had trouble keeping it connected, called visioneer tech help, was told by "Deana" this model with software#ending with 000was defective and they would send a new scanner and a prepaid shiping label to use in returning the defective one, they sent the scanner, no shipping label, I installed the new scanner and tried it, it sounded like it was tearing up so i again called visioneer tech and let them hear the scanner working, I was told that the scanner was defective and they would ship me another [this makes three] and include a prepaid shipping label, I informed them they hadn't sent the first label at this time and was assured that they would send two prepaid labels at once, they only sent one again.
after many phone calls at my expense and much worry I paid to send the first scanner back!
I have requested that Visioneer reimburse me the total expenses I have incurred because of their FAULTY EQUIPMENT, EQUIPMET THEY KNEW WAS UNFIT TO BE ON THE MARKET!!!!!!
They have refused to do so!!!!!

3.94 postal fee for registered letter, rec,req
33.50 longdistance phone calls to get FAULTY EQUIPMENT REPLACED!
$45.53 TOTAL EXPENSES
