GM Cardmember services Complaint - Forced to pay Rush Payment Charge
DENVER, COLORADO -- I attempted to login to GMFLEXCARD.com on May 17th at approx 11:45am MT to make my monthly payment. However, after attempting to log-in to my account a GM CardMember Services webpage came up saying the site was temporarily down and to try to make my payment later. I attempted a few more times over the next 15 min before I ran out the door and again in the evening when I received the same webpage and message after logging in. Today, May 18th, I successfully logged in and went to make my payment that is due tomorrow, May 19th and it was noted that my payment would not post until the 21st unless I selected to "Rush Pay" for an additional $15. Called their customer service and the operator said they could not waive it and even if I had scheduled the payment the day before, I still would have had to Rush Pay to make it by Saturday. First lie, according to their "Payment Time Table" it would have posted on the 18th, one day before due. After speaking to a supervisor, I was asked to speak to their IT dept before they could grant the $15 waiver. However, their IT dept said they had no record of the bill pay site being down and that it was probably an issue on my side. I re-booted my PC and left all security settings on and successfully logged in to make a payment. Clearly not an issue on my side. So, they unfairly got my extra $15. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar issues with GM Cardmember Services.
