World Pet Store.com Complaint - This Business Is Closed; Do Not Order From Them

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO -- On April 23, I ordered two pet products from WorldPetStore.com. Their site says they ship within 24 hours, and they sent me an email to this effect, but it contained no tracking number. After over a week, nothing arrived and I was unable to get a response by email and both their posted phone numbers simply rang and rang. I was finally able to leave a message and told them to cancel my order since they didn't respond.

I checked with my bank. The POS PreAuth World Pet Store had on my account had apparently been removed by them and I assumed it was in response to my emails and phone message. Since this order had, supposedly, been cancelled, I purchased the pet products locally.

However, almost a month after my order, on May 17, I received another email stating my order was being shipped within 24 hours. Again their was a link to tracking, but no tracking number or information.

I checked with my bank and a charge had been put through on my account. Once again, I emailed World Pet Store to cancel the order and return my money, but there was no response. When I called their phone numbers, these were disconnected. I contacted their local newspaper and was informed this company was going or out of business.

I contacted my bank and they are currently investigating this and attempting to get me a refund. It is now over 24 hours since the new email arrived and there is still no tracking number. I am certain they are not sending any products and have fraudulently charged my card. I have had my card hot-listed to avoid further unauthorized charges.

This business is closed or closing. Do not make a purchase through their still-active Yahoo store website. And if you have a pending order, contact your bank immediately to cancel your card to save yourself trouble and expense. This business is unreliable and may well be making fraudulent charges on customer credit/debit cards.

Also went to the better business bureau website to check the company out....they have an unsatisfactory record....www.bbb.com..

Good review. Thanks for the warning. You shouldn't have any probelms getting your money back, especially since you haven't received any product.

I ordered from them as well and had the exact same issue. I did get in touch with a woman named Kim C. She was very vague in her emails which pretty near drove me crazy. She had a different story everytime she emailed. Finally, she asked for my credit card info again. I had contacted my bank by this time and they advised me not to do any business with them. I got the refund through the credit card company.

Stay away from them!
