DirecTV Inc Complaint - Unbelieveably frustrating experience!!!!!
We recently upgraded to DirecTV with HD DVR and after FOUR housecalls fromt their tech department, three differenct units being shipped to our house, and, I kid you not 12 phone calls, our service, which costs $83/month still doesn't work properly. We feel like they released a product onto the market without having perfected it, and when I pointed this out they said "it's advanced technology." I told them, if I bought a microwave that didn't warm my food, I don't care how advanced the technology was, I am paying for a service, and I want it to work, or I shouldn't be charged for it. Additionally, we paid $300 for the unit, and we were not informed of the fact that we were elligible for a 100 discount. (not to mention that for new customers the unit is FREE - thanks for punishing us for being loyal customers of seven years!) When I tried to get a refund for the service that we just plain didn't get, they first promised me $50 for that and then the $100 for the rebate. Then the woman informed me that $100 was the most we were entitled to, even though they owed us the additional $50 for the lack of proper service.
ALSO - they said we will not get the $300 back for the unit (THEIR UNIT THAT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!) so we are stuck with it. UNBELIEVEABLE. DO NOT ORDER DIRCTLV unless you want unreliable service and terrible customer service. We feel completely robbed of time and money.
