Paramount Canada's Wonderland Compliment - Employee treatment by rude customer.

Review by 37441 on 2007-05-21
On Victoria Day my friends and I went to Paramount Canada's Wonderland at park closing they were out of hot dogs, they only had sausages left. This lady wanted one for her child, and was told that they ran out. The people in front of her had gotten the last hotdog, and she started to demand that they give it to her because she had a child and children should get food first. The person had already paid for their hotdog and they did not want to give it up. She was arguing with them, when the person at the booth tried to calm things down. The employee (Jameel) tried to calm things down and she started calling him racist names. (He was African American. An Indian person in line tried to help calm her down and she then turned on her and called her racist names as well. I think you should know that Jameel handled the situation well.

Three cheers for Jameel!
We have an expert on matters from Canada and maybe he (Stew) can help clear up this matter?
I put a post on the fourm side of this site yesterday honnoring Victoria Day but only one person commented on it, I don't know what is wrong with people around here? One would almost think they don’t like Canadians…………

The lady should not be feeding her kids hot dogs. All the junk scraps and bone go into hot dogs. Very bad for any human.

Thats really not the point Superbowl. There is nothing wrong with feeding kids hot dogs. You gotta be kidding me.

The lady was out of line. Jameel did a great job of dealing with her. And yes hot dogs are not good for you, read the label some time. She should have been feeding her kids a better meal.

Dude ease up. It's a friggin hot dog at an amusement park. What else should she feed her kids while at a park?

I don't know if I should have mentioned this in the letter, but the mother was kind of out of control, when the kid inturpted her because she was frightened that the mother was yelling she pulled her hair and hit the back of her daughter's head with the heal of her hand. She than called her daughter who appeared to be 7 or 8 a rotton un ungrateful b****, and told her to shut up because she was fighting for her. When Jameel went to tell security, she told her daughter that if she told them that she had been hit that they would lock her(the daughter) in a mental home. I don't think she really hates her daughter, I think she was just angry, and she told Jameel after he reported it to security that she would file a complainat against him and say he was lying to get back at him. I told them what really happened, then i called the police non emergancy number and they said there is nothing else I could do they would have to see if Wonderland security calls them since she actually did leave her information on the complaint. Anyways I wrote this because I don't think Jameel should have to get in trouble because of her lies.

GRF, did this lady's name just happened to be TABITHA (Green)?! That gal is always up to something......Hot Dogs, like everything else these days cause cancer in RATS and they do contain sodium nitate.
I wish I had been there to serve her (not the kid) a "dog" with my "secret sauce" on it!

zzrokk - No she was not Tabitha Green, she never did once demand that she get all her food, admission fee back because her children had to wait in a long line up without high chairs :D. Tabitha Green is the same Tabitha G. from planetfeedback I am assuming?

superbowl _ actually this was her the second hot dog that the lady bought for her child, and these are foot long hot dogs. When I was that age even older (10-11) I could only generally finish half of one at one sitting, ofcourse there is no saying that when the child had the last hot dog, all I know is that this was her second one, because she was saying that to Jameel, that she was buying her daughter a hotdog because she liked the first one so much, and then she accused him of starving a child. I think the mother lost control over her child(not that I agree with it) because the child spoke up at the wrong time.

You guys have made me hungry, think I will run into L.A. and get a Pink's hotdog now. I will be out of the ER later this week. :)

GredandForge, being at the park late in the day I probably would have cut Jameel some slack as he did not stock the cart.

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-05-22:
*LOL* GRF, you know about Ms. Green as well, huh?
Steph, if I didn't eat things that caused cancer in lab rats then I would be DEAD.

superbowl - This was at closing time, he park was closed at this point and I think that he had another package of hot dogs, but did not open up another package because the park was closed and the person in line got the last hot dog.

I know Lid. I was just kidding...

Gred, I thought that is what you meant, but wasn't sure.
Lid, ol' buddy, onehot dog never caused anyone to have a hear attack, that only happens after years of abusing the heart muscle. super, you are always badmouthing everyone's choice of food, and in most cases you are being too uptight. My wife and I used to have a hot dog stand before our health got so bad (nothing to do with diet,)and we did quite well, and I would put our food up against any that you could ever find. The FDA assures that we have healthy food in the United States, and as the guy from the Health Department said," hot dogs are already cooked, it's sorta hard to mess them up." the big difference between our dogs and sausages was that ours were mesquite smoked, not boiled. We still have people ask when we are going to come back. We would love to be able to get a building and bring our stand back in a permanent location. You may have your own taastes in food, most people do, but quit talking about good food like it is crap.

The FDA after the fact!

FDA and the State of California have previously expressed serious concern with the continuing outbreaks of foodborne illness associated with the consumption of fresh and fresh-cut lettuce and other leafy greens. After discussions with industry, FDA and the State of California, as part of a longer term strategy, now expect industry to develop a plan to minimize the risk of another outbreak due to E. coli O157:H7 in all leafy greens, including lettuce.

Number of Cases of Infection, Hospitalization and Death
To date, 187 cases of illness due to E. coli O157:H7 infection have been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including 29 cases of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), 97 hospitalizations and one death.
States Involved and Number of Cases

The 26 affected states are: Arizona (7), California (2), Colorado (1), Connecticut (3) Idaho (4), Illinois (1), Indiana (9), Kentucky (8), Maine (3), Maryland (3), Michigan (4), Minnesota (2), Nebraska (9), Nevada (1), New Mexico (5), New York (11), Ohio (25), Oregon (6), Pennsylvania (9), Tennessee (1), Utah (17), Virginia (2), Washington (3), West Virginia (1), Wisconsin (49), and Wyoming (1). In addition, Canada has one confirmed case.

Starlord, I had to go to the ER years ago. My bad diet almost killed me. So I am an advocate of eating right. I'm still here so the changes must have helped me... The chemicals is most hot dogs kill lab rats.

That woman needs someone to hit her and pull her hair and see how she feels, and isn't it against the law to hit your kid on the head with your fist.
