Amercian Heartland Insuranc Co Complaint - Bad Insurance Co - Car Insurance

Review by hospcna on 2007-05-22
SKOKIE, ILLINOIS -- Don't get into accident with someone insured with this company. Sitting at stop sign hit in rear by driver insured with amerc heartland. They won't pay for my towing of my car, storage fees at 35 a day, only giving me pennies for my car, and it took them 1 month to send anyone out to see my car's damage again at 35 dollars a day storage fees.

This company is the pits!!!

I once got rear ended and dealt with an insurance company just like the one you are dealing with. I ended up going through my insurance company and paying the deductible. My only regret is I did't sue them for neck injuries! Maybe it is time for you to go to a chiropractor and get your neck examined.

OK next time I feel like getting into an accident I'll ask the person what insurance company they go through first.

Was your car a new one? These insurance companies are bad unless you know the agent well they will all try and do the same thing. This is a common practice and you might try to take it to small claims court.

At this point, if you feel you are being wronged, hire an attorney, but don't sign anything, including the proceeds checks, as that would constitute an agreement to settle for the amount offered.

Same thing happened to me. I have police reports and the person that hit me insured by this company was given 4 tickets and taken to jail. This company continuously gives me to a voicemail of the adjuster and they never call back. I am not sure what to do.
