AirTran Airways Informative - Terrible flight and service
We had booked a simple flight to tampa for me and my daughter. She was going to stay with her grandparents for the holiday weekend and I was going to go golfing with my college buddies. When we checked in, our seats were separated, she is 3 years old and I was told I had to go to the gate to fix the issue. Off to the gate we went to fix the issue. When we got there, the director of customer service, Martha Williams, told the gate agent that they had made a great page on announcing the flight was boarding. less than a minute after that, the gate agent then told me that "there was nothing that they could do for me and I was going to have to deal with it"
We boarded the plane and through the kindness of another passenger was able to sit together, my toddler and I.
When we arrived in tampa, my clubs were not on the flight. I notified the luggage office since I needed them and didn;t think it would be an issue being a few hours late arriving at my inlaws home. However, I needed to leave early the next morning to drive to meet my friends for the tee time. I waited three hours for someone to at least call, no one did, and then I called and asked where were my clubs? The luggage attendent didn't really care and wanted to simply get me off the phone. I asked to be notified when the next plane landed to see if the clubs were on that plane. After the time we both agreed to which someone was to call and no one did, I called back and was told it could be later the next day.
I had paid for a resort that I will not get to use, a tee time, and will miss my golf outing due this and no one seems to care, but they care about good gate announcements.
