United Airlines Complaint - United Airlines allows partners to not post frequent flyer mileage.
SAN JUAN -- If you think flying on one of United Airlines partners (US Airways) will allow you your hard earned frequent flier miles. You may be wrong! US Airways has not posted any of my mileage this year to my United Mileage Plus Account (about 3500 miles). This reduces the liability that United has to me for my mileage awards and my Premier Executive status. And given the miles have value. Well!
My recourse is:
To submit your request for partner retroactive flight credit, please send a written request with the information listed below:
> Your name and Mileage Plus account number
> A copy of your ticket or E-ticket receipt(s)
> Your original boarding pass(es) (copies of boarding passes will not be accepted)
Who keeps boarding passes for the last 6 months in this day of electronic tickets. No boarding passes no mileage. As United refuses to have any process improvement with US Airways and but after all why would they? This is reducing their mileage liability. So beware, you too may be next, remember to glue your used boarding passes to your forehead or better yet!!!
