Fast Track Stores Complaint - False Advertising
Complaint
Review by fester_192002@yahoo.com on 2002-05-08
MADISON, FLORIDA -- I am wirting in regards to a local Fast Track convenient store where I recently purchased a Marlboro cigarette special offer (buy three packs and get two packs free). The sign outside of this store stated that Marlboro cigarettes were $3.35 a pack, but when i went to pay for the special offer i was charged $3.95 a pack for the three packs i was charged for. When I questioned the store clerk about this price difference I was informed that the she was told to charge more for the special offer cigarettes. She told me that she was informed to do this by managment. I feel that this is false advertisment on the Fast Track Stores part. I have informed the Philip Morris Company about this and I feel that something should be done about this immediatly.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I feel that the price for the special offer cigarettes should be the same as the advertised price for any other Marlboro cigarettes.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
