Famousparts.com Complaint - Rudeness & Lying about shipping

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- On 5/26/07 a part was ordered with a confirmation received that day. We called on 5/30/07 because no tracking # had yet been sent to us. We were told it had been shipped (LIE). I called again 5/31/07 asking about the part because we still had no tracking # & was told it had been shipped (LIE). When I asked for the Tracking # he said he would have to "go to the warehouse" to get it, but it would "ship today because it must have been lost" (SHIPPED-LIE / LOST-TRUE). I told him to cancel the order because it would take too many more days & we would but it locally. His response was "It's been canceled" & he hung up on me, even while I was thanking him (RUDE). Would not do business with them again. Owning our OWN business, we will let everyone know of this treatment (TRUE).
Company Response on 09/26/2009:
Order # 11014 placed by Dan on Saturday May 26th 07 for a 7.5 MFD Run Capacitor for $6.01 and Ground shipping which takes about 7 days to ship from our Arizona Warehouse to Montgomery IL 60538
Dan cancelled his order 3 business days later we had UPS return the package back to us and the $6.01 was credited back to the card used.I would think it common sense by a business person to order up next day air or for a $6.01 part which could have been secured locally (all info here has been researched thru FP11.com archives)

7.5 MFD CAPACITOR 370VAC. For furnace blower. Purchased locally today.

Sounds like Famousparts.com are bums. They should have just told you they didn't have one. Hopefully they won't be in business long. Thanks for the warning.

Went to a local company in Montgomery Illinois called Industrial Motor Supply. They sold me the part, but only after they tested mine and found that it was bad. Cost 40% less than getting it on-line.
