Kitchenaid Complaint - Kitchenaid Products are NOT worth the money
NANAIMO, BC CANADA -- In May 2005 we purchased new appliances for our newly-purchased home. Front-load washer & dryer, dishwasher, stove and microwave oven/fan combo. In the past 2 years, as each appliance has passed the warranty period, 4 out of 5 appliances have required repair - the dishwasher has been repaired twice, the grill on the microwave has broken and been replaced at our expense twice, the oven has had to have the touchpad replaced, and now the washer won't drain properly.
Each time, I have called to complain, and Kitchenaid has brushed me off. I have had to pay for each and every repair, in machines that were barely a year old. Today I called to complain about the washer and was brushed off with, "I will document your complaint" - there was no other department that was in charge of quality control. There is no website, no email, no address to contact anyone with a problem. All this, AFTER I sat on hold for 25 minutes, waiting for one of their staff to answer the phone. We thought we were buying quality appliances, and spent over $7500.00 at the time. We could have bought the same thing at Sears, for at least a third less. We THOUGHT we were buying quality that would last. What a joke.
