Geico Corporation Informative - Employment
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- I worked for Geico for several years and towards the end I felt I was discriminated against and left the company. I spoke to management and human resources several times and was finally offered a small amount of money after an investigation was done. I was told that the offer meant they did nothing wrong but it was offered to me. I did not accept it because I feel I am owed more than what was offered. There were a few things done during my period of employment there that I felt uneasy about. My wife worked there as well and was told, while she was pregnant, to work through lunch and eat when she could and that the company would buy her lunch, a couple of times. She was also asked to lie to vendors to try to save the company money. It was stressful and I feel we were taken advantage of by Geico. I have contacted several attorneys but have not found the right one to help us yet. Towards the end of my career I suffered from much stress and even had a small blood clot form on my head as well as migraine headaches. I personally feel it was attributed from the pressure from dealing with the company. I hope this email reaches the right people or enough people and some results are made.
