Garner Woman s Club Complaint - Unethical Business Practices

Review by Anonymous on 2002-05-14
GARNER, NORTH CAROLINA -- Not to make this a long story, I'll just give you the basic details. I rented The Garner Woman's Club this past Saturday, 5/11, for a birthday party. When it was time for me to get my security deposit, $150, back they said they couldn't refund it because the carpet was completely ruined and they would have to get a commercial carpet cleaner in there. But, there was nothing wrong with the carpet and the carpet cleaner never came. Anyway, I have been going back and forth with this organization and every time I talk to someone they have a different story/lie. When I disprove whatever reason they have for keeping the deposit they come up with something new. Basicallly I am getting the run around, BIG TIME. This is just the basic story, there is a lot more to it, but I figured you would still be reading 24 hours from now.

I live in Raleigh, NC. If what you are saying is true, then why don't you contact WRAL? You can go to their website and click on consumer and make your complaint. Their troubleshooter will contact you and help you get your money back. The only catch is that you must agree to be interviewed on tv.
