Nissan Complaint - 2007 Nissan Armada
DENVER, COLORADO -- I bought a 2007 Nissan Armada on December 29th 2006 as the snow, for the third time in 9 days, started to bury Denver in another 30 some odd inches of snow. There was already over 5 feet on the ground at the time.
The snow did not stop for approximately 5 weeks and it was never warm enough to wash the vehicle. Long story short, the magnesium chloride laid on the roads to reduce ice, ended up eating all the chrome decals on the entire vehicle, including the super chep "chrome" wheels, rear view mirrors, all the badges, and the door handles. The only things that do not look diseased on this Armada are the Chrome bumpers (which are truly chrome dipped metal).
It took me calling them 21 times and 2.5 months for them to finally tell me that they do not cover these things and that I should have wiped down the truck every time I came home. I guess I should have thought of wiping down my new $50,000 truck every time I came home. I just do not know what I was thinking. Perhaps that the truck was new and should have been built to withstand something like mag chloride.
Customer service was not helpful at all and seemed to be pulling an insurnace company scam of passing the cutomer to a new department hoping I would go away. I did not and they finally had to tell me to sue them, so I am doing just that, as well as filing a complaint with the BBB and any other course of action that will get them to take responsibility for their inferior product.
