VonageCompany Complaint - Promotion fruad - Phone/cable

WISCONSIN -- I spoke to Vonage representative if their service was available in my area. She said yes with confidence. I ordered their phone & internet device package. Tried along with their technician to install, but failed because their service was unavailable in my area.Order was made,product received Feb 25, returned and received by vonage within ten days.Request for refund was denied.

What a frustration.

Why did they deny your refund? I though Vonage was available anywhere one had broadband Internet service.

Send them a certified letter with your demand for refund. Give them 30 days to respond. If they do nothing then file in small claims court.

Vonage is experiencing financial problems after losing the Verizon lawsuit. But that's not your problem.

Yeah, I'm puzzled as to this "not available in my area" means. You may not be able to get your own area code, but outside of that, I'm pretty sure, that as long as you have reliable fast cable connect, you should be able to use it.
