Airline International Complaint - Billing Procedures/Shipping and Handling
I recently ordered an item via the internet from Airline International. At no time before or after I entered my credit card information was there a shipping and handling charge applied. I recieved an invoice via email with the same charge with no shipping and handling applied. I was given a link to check the status of my order and still there was no mention of any shipping and handling charges. All of a sudden I check my credit card statement and the company has charged me $10 more then the original purchase price. When I called to find out what was going on the representative on the phone said that the additonal charge was for frieght. Now I shop on the internet all the time and never have I been charged after recieveing my invoice for shipping and handling...All companies make you aware of their shipping charges before the final order confirmation. This lady even called me to tell me there would be a delay with the item because it was out of stock and there was still no mention of "frieght charges" as she calls them. In my opinion that is poor business practice to charge someone extra after the fact.
