Travelocity Complaint - Do not use Travelocity!
I am very disappointed with the service I received from Travelocity today. Their website advertises that they have customer service representatives available 24/7 to help us with any travel arrangements, conflicts, refunds, cancellations and etc; however that is not the case. In attempts to cancel a reservation today, I had to spend two hours on hold on the phone, transferred three different times to three different agents only to be told that I could not get a refund for cancelling my reservation due to certain restrictions. After being told this, I asked the agent "what was the purpose of putting me on hold for the last two hours? Why was the first agent who had answered my call not able to tell me this 1 1/2 hour ago? Travelocity advertises customer service 24/7, and yet why are they not able to deliver this service?" His reasoning was that as a Travelocity VIP member, I was required to speak to the next available VIP agent. As a VIP, I was expected to wait 2 hours before I could speak to someone who could tell me that I couldn't get a refund??? Flustered, the agent told me to call the next day to speak to a different representative, a "package specialist" who could probably help me with my dilema. According to him, " package specialists" were only available during business hours. Again, I asked, "why advertise customer service available 24/7, if I have to call during business hours. If I called tomorrow, will I have to wait another 2 hours to speak to an agent?" Of course, he could not answer my question. In a nutshell, do not use travelocity. They are policies are misleading and their customer service is non existent.
