Dear Mr. Reistrup:
I am in receipt of your form letter dated May 14, 2007 detailing the possible forfeiture of my wife’s Dividend Miles. I would be more than happy to use them for trips back to our home town in Baltimore. However any dates we seem to pick are never available even though I may have to purchase a few Dividend Miles to fill in the gap. There are no non stop US Airways flights any more to Baltimore from New Orleans. US Airways did away with Metro Jet service. That was great service to Baltimore. In addition we live in Slidell Louisiana that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina and do not have time to read magazines. Since the storm most airlines have not restored 100% of the pre Katrina service to New Orleans. I would love to use US Airways again but they are far too expensive when compared to Southwest Airlines and US Airway has no convenient flights to cities where we want to go to. Charlotte is great but I do not go there? Southwest has non stops to Baltimore. Anyway, since the storm we try to fly out of Gulfport Ms with a better choice of schedules and a much nicer airport then New Orleans and US Airways does not fly out of Gulfport MS. Maybe they should!
Next I do not want any magazines. I want more flights out of New Orleans. Should you decided to forfeit my wife’s miles I will cancel both my US Airways VISA cards and donate my miles to charity. Certainly not magazines! This is nothing short of blackmailing long term customers.
As usual all the airlines are trying to intimidate customers with bad service, expensive tickets prices, late departures and arrivals, dirty planes and last but not least now threaten customers to buy useless magazines. Oh please! You want the miles that bad feel free to take them and take my miles also. My account number is xxxxxxx. I have flown Piedmont, Allegany and US Airways since 1985 for business.
