Parrot Moving System Informative - Tired of U-Haul?

Review by 23169 on 2007-06-11
Tired of U-Haul?

Friday night I was having Sushi with some friends at the sushi bar. You meet a lot of nice people at sushi bars.

I met a guy from Canada and we were talking about the differences between our two countries, not that much differences. He was a truck driver and the president of his company. Now I know PWP will like this one. The name of his company is Parrot moving systems.

He explained there goal was to take the business away from U-Haul and as many complaints as we have on here I thought this could be an alternative for some. He said a lot of people were moving from up north to Florida.

Heres what they do:
Deliver a trailer to your driveway for you to load then move it to your new driveway for you to unload.

Cost effective, cheaper than a rental truck.
Large custom made 32’ mover's trailer will hold the contents of a 4 bedroom house.

Trailer locked and security sealed during move.
No hidden costs, no extra charges.

If you are thinking of moving you might give them a call to see if they service your area.

Sounds a lot like the "pod" concept, which I think is a good concept. You rent the pods, and they are left at your home. You fill them, they deliver them. You unpack them. Or you can store the pods while you are in limbo as well. Sounds like a good alternative to U-haul... and saves having to drive those crappy trucks!

Thanks Lidman for informing your readers with the alternative to U-Haul.

I'll have to consider them, next time I move. Good review Lid.

Move? Don't you mean evicted?
Good job, Lids.....

Mississauga in English means "Crazy, homicidal, excessively speeding truck drivers" (If you've ever been there, you'd know what I mean).

Good review, Lidman!

I had a friend invite me to a sushi bar once. I told him thanks, but I don't think so. There is nothing worse than a drunk sushi. ROFLMAO

mmmm..slimey fish..mmmm..I gotta go barf now!

Thanks everybody for your comments.

number1svc, try it once it's not bad.

Emt_c, I had no idea! Thanks that's good to know.

Lid,isnt raw fish,bait?LOL

My wife is constantly telling me to try new things, like sushi,or onions.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-06-11:
number1, you could start with the eel, it's cooked and pretty tasty.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-06-11:
Lidman, you should recommend the fake crab - type sushi to start with. But yes, eel & cooked shrimp are good, as well.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-06-11:
eel?no flippen way!
I've seen Iron Chef, and no way am I trying that.

Krabby Patties.....

number1, smoked eel is actually quite good. I actually never use raw fish when I make my own sushi. Fake crab, cooked shrimp, smoked eel, those all work in my book. My husband won't eat sushi because I always make it with nori. Other than that, I think he would like it.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-06-11:
emt, what is nori?
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-06-11:
Isnt nori seaweed?
If so I had some yesterday at the beach
Posted by Nohandle on 2007-06-11:
Eel, what ails you my friends? An eel is a snake..look at it. I don't care if it swam in the water or crawled on the ground it's a snake. Ever gone fishing and pulled one out of the water? Barf and barf again. Emt, I'll invite myself over if you use cooked fish in your sushi. I'm available at your convenience.

Lidman, thank you for your informative on Parrot Moving System. I don't plan on moving anytime soon but it's high time there's an alternative for those who have had to deal with the others.

Good review Liddy...I know of the "Pods" Sparty mentioned and I always felt this type of service would take over the U-Hauls from coast to coast.

follow up!

Larry: Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had a
major problem with my computer system in the office and
was unable obtain your e-mail address until now to
reply. I was very tired when I downloaded the e-mail
and decided to wait until morning to reply, but then it
was to late.
Thanks for the publicity I was happy to see the amount
of action on the site after you had made the post. We
received a serious enquiry from New York City and we
think it derived from your post by the way she was
speaking.
We will have to meet up in Arden for some sushi some
time. Better yet if you are ever in the Toronto area
look me up I will take you out to one of our sushi
buffet restaurants in the area. My record is 47 pcs.
in one sitting!
Regards, Lyle
