Chipolte Informative - Welcome to the neighborhood...

Review by pd8c9 on 2007-06-11
CLAYTON, MISSOURI -- Well a new Chipolte just openned in Clayton, MO first let me start by saying welcome to the neighborhood. But god damn it... How difficult is it to make a burrito? I don't remember how much I paid for 2 burritos, but it was too much. Meaning anything over .50 cents would be too much. This place is owned by McDonalds and it shows. The food is nasty and for whatever reason when making the burrito they place the meat in it's little section then completely separating the igredience, rice and then beans. Therefore, you must take three small bites of each section inorder to get the taste of a real burrito. I was completely disappointed in this lunch and would not recommend it to my worst enemies. Good luck and welcome to the neighborhood.

I had no idea this place was owned by McDonalds??? Thanks for that info... might explain why their burrito is the top ten list for things you shouldn't eat... =)

Besides that... we do like it and eat there every month or two...

Owned by Corporate Deathburger?
No wonder I haven't tried them.

It started here in Colorado. McDonald's did own it at one time and maybe they still do. PD, you are so right. They give you a few strips of meat then pile on the beans, rice and what have you. Try getting one with just meat and salsa and you tell me if it is worth 6 bucks?

Oh you guys should visit Wichita to eat the Chipolte's here. Never have I had the problems that you guys are describing. I get meat in evey bite. I like going there because I can eat half for dinner and take the other half for lunch the next day.

McDonalds doesn't own them anymore.

Chipotle is excellent. I don't care what you say. The ingredients are all fresh and they use all organic chicken and stuff.

Is it Chipotle or Chipolte? Both have been used. I have never heard of them, but have never seen one. I really don't think we need another Mexican restaurant in southern Arizona. We are on Mex overload as it is.

I used to go to the one in Overland Park Kansas and was delighted when they opened some in St Louis. Maybe you got some opening day jitters from an inexperienced staff. My experiences with them have been good!!
