Honda Complaint - Defective Airbag
LUBBOCK, TEXAS -- May 20, 2002: My name is Stephanie Robinson, and my mother Rose Robinson and I were in a car accident on May 19, 2002. My mother swereved to avoid hitting two big dogs, when she lost control and hit a tree and pole. The car, 92 Accord LX, was going 40mph when it hit the tree full impact. The airbag did not go off. The entire front bumper and front end of the car is crushed, completley totaled. I was sitting in the front passenger seat when the accident occured. My questiong is this, if your company guarantees the saftey of it's customer's shouldn't the one thing that can save their life work. My mother and I did of course receive minor injuries, but if my mother would of hit her head on the steering wheel she could of received a severe head injury, and maybe even died. Another thing research and studies show that an airbag should go off with a 5mph front end collision. I was in a 40mph front end collision, and mine did not go off. My question is what is your company going to do about this? Your company garuntees safety, but this however was not true in my families case. You can reach my family any time of the day. Our phone number is (806)745-9553. MY parents are Arden and Rose Robinson, we live in Lubbock, Texas. Our address is 9503 Detroit Ave. 79423. I really think your company should do something about this. If my car's airbad doesn't work then what can we say for other car's that have the same problem.
