British Airways Complaint - Mishandled Baggage
4 of us, my wife, grandchildren and I travelled o Monday night out of JFK on British Airways Business Class to Chennai, a 24 hour journey. On arriving at Chennai on wednesday morning, we were advised that our 7 pieces of checked baggage had not arrived with the flight and that we would be contacted. Being a frequent flyer with Silver card status, I contacted the Executive Club in Mumbai the next morning only to be told that they could do nothing for me and to contact a phone number in my town Chennai, which I have dialled unsuccessfully for 72 hours now !!! There is NO WAY to contact any human being capable of responding and I am at a total loss, since all the clothes and toys of our grandchildren are not available to us. BA handed out a meagre $200/ which, as far as I am concerned they can have back !! WE are loyal, frequent flyers with BA for 10 years, and if they treat us this way, I wonder what the one time flyers must go through.
What I demand is the right to communication and information and basic decency in dealing with another human being. No airline has the right to ignore a passenger in distress, and that is how al;l BA passengers in India are probably being treated.
