Dwayne Lanes Complaint - Poor Customer Service

Review by Dwayne Lanes S**ks on 2007-06-16
EVERETT, WASHINGTON -- I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with doing business with Dwayne Lane’s in Everett. On Saturday June 9th 2007 My husband went to Dwayne Lane’s to look for a new vehicle. He was sold a Jeep that he had really wanted for a long time. To make a long story short, we were lied to more then once & treated like we were doing them a favor by purchasing a vehicle from them. They clearly could care less about thier customers. We were talked to like we were uneducated indivuduals, who didn't know that first thing about buying a vehicle. There finance department is where the problem is, they seem to think that they can say one thing and then do another.. This of course is not in the customer's favor. I did recieve an apology letter for the way that we were treated, but I vow that I will tell EVERYONE that is looking to purchase a vehicle to stay away from that place. I just wish that some of the stories that I have since learned, I would have known before I walked through the door of that Business. They have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced.

I would also like to let everyone know, if you buy a used vehicle from them, please have it checked out, the first Jeep that they showed my husband seemed in great condition, but once he drove it he found a sticker under the hood showing that the transmission had been taken out for some reason. This was discovered since the Jeep was making strange noise and he brought it to the attention of the salesman. SO whom ever purchases this vehicle is in for a rude awakining.

Clearly, you are dissatisfied with the service received from Dwayne Lanes, however your post is missing details.

How were you lied to? What did the finance department say and then do differently? It sounds like they took accountability since you mentioned that they did send an apology letter, but I'm sure others in your area would be interested in more details of your experience, in case they are considering doing business with Dwayne Lanes.
I've done business with Dodge of Bellevue a couple of times and would recommend them to anyone, you may want to check them out if you haven't already found another dealership.

They told us that everything was going through BECU for the loan, we were told that the interest rate was 8.49%based on our credit. We decided to go to BECU on Monday and got a loan for 6%, When we returned to Dwayne Lanes we were told that they had already got the loan through another bank that I never even heard of, and it was going to cost over $200 to get it all reversed. We gave them the check from our own bank and they need to pick up the tab from there lie. We did our research on the vehicle that we purchaed and found that there was a major recall on it, when we asked the dealer about this we were told that all recalls were done on this vehicle, well to date it has not been done and we need to take it in to have it completed. The apology letter said " I am sorry for offending you", there was no accountability taken!

The major frustration was the customer service that we experienced, being talked down to on more then one occasion and laughing in our faces when we tried to state our points during the transactions.

As I'm sure you are well aware of now, you should have obtained financing prior to shopping for a vehicle.
