Motorweb.com Complaint - Ordered parts, got the wrong parts.

PHEONIX, ARIZONA -- I not only got the wrong body kit, I was told it was the right one. motorweb (sportcompactonly.com) stated they were shipping my items three different times and was not yet sent. I finally got a confirmation e-mail stating it was being shipped. I ordered it on the 2nd and received it on the 18th. The wrong kit, my tail lights are yet to be shipped. You can call there phone number but not one person will answer the phone. I sat on hold waiting for a rep for 29 minutes and nothing. I left numerous messages and still nothing. Let my lost cause be your gain, do not order from this company, nothing but run-around.

If you want to get their attention, dispute the charge with your credit card company. Just make sure you keep excellent records of every email, phone call and letter you send attempting to correct the problem. Good luck.

What they probably meant when they said it was the right one, is that it was what was ordered. Ordering parts has become so complicated, with part numbers being so long, it only takes one little number wrong, and Bingo! you've got the wrong part. Hugh is right, document everything, right down to the smallest scrap of paper. Most imnportant, work with the company to make sure you get the right part. It could be your mistake, it could be theirs, it could be a misprint in the catalog. Don't give up.

Thank you Hugh, I have every e-mail and every verbage I sent them. I am keeping a good record of all my documentation due to the fact that this wasn't the first time something like this happened. I guess I should be a little more specific though. I got a kit for a hatch back and I have a 4 door sedan. Right part for the wrong car? I was told by them that when asking if it would fit my car, that it would. And like I stated earlier wrong part for the rear bumper.

well, they attempted to fix this situation but, it has only gotten deeper now. I had to order another rear bumper from them and I just got another confirmation e-mail from them stating the bumper is getting pushed back, I know for a fact this is wrong cause I see they have the item ready and in stock ready to be shipped. It shows a table as to when the item can be shipped it shows a window of 2-4 days shipping. It is obviously wrong. I was dealing with the CS mgr. and He said at the beginning that he will help. Well I had to pay (which I already have) for the bumper and he will or they will pay for the shipping. I still haven't seen my tail lights being shipped yet and this was on the 2nd. My gooosh the anguish I feel. I have the body shop personal telling me they are going to have to start charging me for storage due to the fact that my car is fixed and ready for the finishing touches but, I can't drive it cause NO TAIL LIGHTS AND NO BUMPER is in place. AAAAAAARRRGH
