Cole European Dealership, Walnut Creek, CA Complaint - Think twice before you go to Cole European in Walnut Creek, CA

Review by Lina365 on 2007-06-20
WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA -- Cole European of Walnut Creek, CA off of N Main St is as crooked as they come. I purchased a Jaguar from another dealer 3 weeks prior and I took it to Cole European to have a base line for future maintenance etc.
The car drove like a dream there was absolutely nothing wrong with it I dropped it off with them and go a shuttle to work. That afternoon I came back to a car that was not the same, it had red lights, check engine lights and it sounded like it was missing a muffler, the whole car would shake not the idle purr of the same morning.

Harry the General Manager was very rude from the beginning, he insisted that they had did nothing, the car had been left in their care, but the had did nothing.

These people totally screwed me and there is not a damn thing I can do because they are a big company and I am a little consumer that has no voice.
So, if anybody out there is listening I highly recommend that you mark Cole European off your list of possibilities for service or purchase, the are not honest, and you should not trust anything they say. Better safe than sorry, and I wish I had read an article like this before I took my car there.

Why didn't you take it back to where you bought it? And what "base line" are you talking about?

Pomona and Jay nailed it. Why in the world would you take a new Jag to another dealer "for a base maintenance." Dumbest thing I ever heard of, the paperwork on a new vehicle is the only baseline of maintenance you need. Take your vehicle back to the place you bought it from, have them examine it, and they can tell you if it has been damaged. They may not be too happy with you for taking the car someplace else, but what's done is done. After the original dealer examines it, you may have legal recourse.

WHOA!!!!!!! Geniuses at work!!! Where in this post did the consumer EVER state that this vehicle was bought new? and if you do not know what a "baseline maintenance" is, Dont post, it just makes you look like a fool. Although Jaguar builds a prestiges automobile the truth is they are poorly designed and manufactured. There is an old saying, If you buy a Jag, buy two. One you drive while your mechanic has the other.
