Sprint Nextel Informative - Sprint-- as far as you can away form them
SANDY SPRINGS, GEORGIA -- If you have a Sprint phone you better hope you don’t have a problem; customer service is egregious. My reception was fine for months and then it dropped to near none and the battle began (my payment record was fine—even they agreed on that). No two reps would tell you the same thing. “It’s the tower wait a few days” (try a few weeks). “Get a new phone, go to such and such Sprint store” (they will insist on charging you $ for it and/or want you to sign a new contract for another two years). The reps will absolutely refuse to give you any info in writing (because they are lying?). Their e-mail complaint line will tell you to call customer service for all but the simplest problems --don’t try to get anything definitive in writing even from them, they can’t for “legal reasons.” You need a “ticket’ to get a response to a problem, but not all reps can create tickets. The Sprint stores can’t give you anything in writing except your contract, which they will pin you to.
Since there are no doubt at least a few nice people who hold customer service jobs there, it is a problem with management. My guess is that they are pulling a scam and just have not been caught.
