Quiznos Subs Complaint - Found Bug in Flatbread Salad at Quiznos
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- My parents are weekly Roasted Chicken Flatbed salad buyers at the Quiznos (Store# 2879 in Chicago IL. 60707. This Friday, June 23rd around 7:30 PM. When they got home my parents started to eat their salads and that's when my father realize that there was something moving in the salad and it was some kind of bug. He immediately put the lid over the salad and placed it back in the bag and in the kitchen cabinet. The Quiznos had already closed for the night so it was nothing them could do. My father called me around 6 am Saturday morning saying that he felt
sick and my mother was throwing up because of what she saw in his salad. Is it a way to test this salad for bacteria since they still have the salad in their possession. I don't know what to do, my brother who lives with them told me that they are vowing never to eat salads again
and this is disturbing to me because they are in their late 50's and are eating healthier these days and I'm afraid this will set them back. Maybe this was just a one-time thing but shouldn't the employees take the time to inspect the salad that they prepare and be held accountable?
Like I mentioned before, they were avid lovers of Quiznos salads and now they aren't fans of any salads. What a difference one unfortunate incident did.
They know the employees at this store and loved their salads until now. Any advice from those of you who were in similar situation. The owner says there is nothing he can do about it but give them a coupon. (Like they wan't to eat something else there-yeah right) I'm just glad they didn't get serious sick (food poisoning, hepatitis) and for now it's just a lot of mental anguish cause by this.
