Annie s Attic Complaint - Bad business methods

Review by faveale_2 on 2002-06-14
BIG SANDY, TEXAS -- On May 11, 2002 I ordered several items from this company and sent them a "US Postal Money Order." I have called them four times concerning this and each time I receive a different story.

I have even been told that if they can't read part of the money order, "we shred them." First I didn't know it was legal to destroy "legal tender" regardless of the form. Second, it seems obvious that if the money order was received by them, someone must have been able to read it to be able to deliver it.

This order and "US Postal Money Order" was sent to them "Priority Mail." Now I realize that since we live in Alaska mail takes a little longer. However, over a moth is just ludicrous.

What I want in order of importance is, the plastic craft patterns, or my money order returned, and I would like a little politeness without the constant changing story. It has got to the point that each time I call them, "if you don't like the story, wait 15 minutes and dial again for the story will change.

Shredding money orders?? Report them, report them! (They did have your return address, yes?)
