DirecTV Inc Complaint - Illegal Installation of Satellite Dish
REDMOND, WASHINGTON -- A couple of months ago, my neighbor had Direct TV installed in their home and of the two dishes, one of them is attached to my side of the townhouse. I have called Direct TV to have them move or remove it and they told me that they had to contact the customer to schedule a time to come out and fix the issue. That phone call was made two weeks ago. I just called again this evening and spoke with not one, but a total of three people about the issue and they told me that they had contacted the customer three times and left messages, but no one responded. I inquired as to why they could not come and remove the dish from my home, and they told me that they could not move it without the permission of the person that had the dish installed. So, let me understand this....there is a satellite dish "trespassing" on my home and they have to make an appointment to move it. Direct TV told me that when the customer signed the papers when the dishes were installed, that they were saying that everything was installed to their satisfaction. Of course they would, why not, it isn't damaging the exterior of their home, only mine. Is it just me or does this sound incredibly irresponsible to anyone else? Direct TV damaged my home and tells me that the issue is with the neighbor, not them! At this point, I'm tempted to take matters into my own hands and remove it myself!
