Maple Manor Hotel in Dallas, TX Complaint - Agreed upon services not delivered

Review by newjerseycouple2007 on 2007-06-26
DALLAS, TEXAS -- Wedding held there was not coordinated appropriately. Coordinator was unprofessional and appeared not to want to be bothered (several complaints from people). My credit card charged without my permission/authorization. There was no soap in any of the rooms. Dirty/wet towels from previous guests in some rooms. Dinner over an hour late. Lost table decor that belonged to us not the hotel. Breakfast next morning was arranged for 830am via email and verbal conversation. Kitchen personnel noted that coordinator said it was to be at 1030am. Overcharged on alcohol from original quote.

People should not have to worry like this on their big day!

What does the management say about all these things?

Ahem. This is the fault of your wedding planner, not the Hotel. Hotels will not arrange and plan weddings, that is not in their job description. If you hired a wedding planner, get on their case. If you have a cousin do it, go after them. But the hotel is innocent, all they did was provide the room.

You get what you pay for, sounds like the place was a dump.

This was negotiated in the contract that the coordinator at that hotel would be responsible for noted items. They were also pd for these things. Therefore, it is the hotel's responsibility to deliver on the agreed and signed contract!

The hotel is responsilbe for the conditions of the rooms (no soap, dirty wet towels from previous guests), not the coordinator. The hotel does sound like a dump.
