Bosch Complaint - Not worth it
I'm writing this review after having to put a $350 control board in a five year old very expensive unit. I'll be the first to tell people anything can break, but I also witnessed my brother lose TWO boards on his. A slightly different model, but also made in late 01. They clean well and are very quiet, but the expense to buy them compared to other quality machines, the fact they stink at drying and most of note, seem to prematurely fail in an expensive way, I would definitely never recommend one of these. After his second board failure, my brother option to replace his and I went with him and we picked a Kitchen Aid. He claims the performance is actually better, and it has yet to fail. It was about half the price of the Bosch too.
That's what I'm going for next time this one quits and I'd recommend anyone thinking about plunking down a grand, more or less for one of these, to reconsider.
BTW, I have one of their convection double ovens too. I'd bet a campfire cooks faster and more even then this state-of-the-art paperweight.
Rant finished, thanks for your time.
