Smart Complaint - Not So Smart ! - ForTwo

Review by buster007 on 2007-06-27
OAKVILLE -- Hi there... My wife and I decided to go green with our next car purchase. We bought a "Coupe for Two".

It did seem a little expensive @ $26000 for the convertible, but the little cost to the environment seemed like a great idea. What we found out after our purchase was that the oil change @ l litre was a cost of $345 inc tax, every 7-8000 km's thats over $1000 a year. Apart from being told that we would void the warranty if we took it any place other than a Mercedes Dealership, and the fact that the roof leaks that immobilizes the electronics, and that we were responsible for that if we open the convertible roof, it's good on gas. Any other Q's email me!

$345 for an oil change... GOOD GOOGLY MOOGLY! I change my own oil for total of $15 (5qts and oil filter). DIY knowledge is PRICELESS!

Buster, it sounds like you can afford to pay for these inconveniences. Enjoy your new ride and take care of it.

You don't say what country you live in. In the US some dealers lie when stating that work done elsewhere will void the warranty.

The Coupe for Two still burns petrol. So how is that better for the environment? Of course if you are in a collision they can bury you in it. Ah Ha! that's how it saves the environment, no casket needed. (OK that was terrible but I couldn't resist as I call those tiny vehicles a coffin car)

MRM...I with you bro!!! $345.00 for an oil change?? Someone needs to lay down the crackpipe charging that much! I'll march down to Advanced Auto Parts and get the oil filter and Mobil 1 oil (thats all I use in my cars) for less then $30.00.

That is an insane number for an oil change.
